After Sheila staged her death, the police closed the investigation and donated Sheila's famous toe to her son Finn. But the clever boy examined the toe and noticed that it had not come off in a bear's attack, but had been neatly cut off. Finn realized that Sheila is alive!
Steffy and Finn spread the word about Sheila's survival, and excitedly showed off her toe to everyone.
To her horror Steffy bumped into Sheila at the restaurant. Sheila was chased by the police, but in vain, Sheila got away in a car.
In the middle of Steffy and Finn's romantic evening, Sheila showed up at their house.
And that's not all: Sheila had her new partner in crime Bill with her!
Bill was very disappointed that both Brooke and Katie rejected him. He revealed that he knew that Taylor was the one who shot him years ago, and blackmailed them with that information. If Sheila went to jail, so would Taylor.
Bill called the police to arrest Sheila, but this too was just part of the new couple's plot. Steffy and Finn didn't testify against Sheila because of Bill's blackmail, and so Sheila got off the hook.
The news about why Sheila was released started to spread, and Taylor feels very guilty about it. She would like to turn herself in so that Sheila would be put behind bars. Even if it meant that Taylor herself would end up in jail. Taylor's new best friend Brooke was afraid that Taylor had committed suicide, but it was a false alarm. Taylor had just taken a sleeping pill, and that's why she didn't wake up easily.
